Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Offbeat Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us") collects through offbeatsoftwaresolutions.com, what we use it for, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Client project data handled during an engagement is covered by the NDA and contract for that engagement - see Trust & Security.
Who we are
Offbeat Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Plot No. 675, Sec 82 (JLPL), Industrial Area, Mohali (Punjab), India 160055. For anything about your personal information, email info@offbeatsoftwaresolutions.com.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us, plus basic analytics:
- Enquiry and assessment forms: your name, company, work email, and optionally your phone number, plus what you tell us about your project - project type, current technology, business criticality, timeline, budget range, country, timezone, and your description of the problem.
- Cost calculator and legacy assessment tool: your answers to the questions, the resulting estimate or risk rating, and - only if you ask for a copy - your name, email and company.
- Resource downloads: your name, email and company when you download a guide.
- Training and job applications: your name, email, phone number and message, and any CV you email to us.
- Technical data: when you submit a form, our server records your name, email, the form subject and your IP address in its logs, for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics: pages you visit and actions such as button clicks and form submissions, measured with Google Analytics (see below). These events don't include what you type into forms.
We don't ask for, and don't want, payment details or sensitive personal data on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about your project or application.
- To prepare the estimate, assessment or follow-up you asked for.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To protect the site and our inbox from spam and abuse.
We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list. We contact you about the enquiry you sent - the consent checkbox on our forms covers exactly that.
Who it's shared with
- Our team: form submissions are emailed to our own inbox and read by the people who handle enquiries.
- Service providers that run the site for us: our web hosting and email providers, and Google (Google Analytics).
- Calendly: if you book a call, you do it on Calendly, which handles that information under its own privacy policy.
- Authorities, only where the law requires it.
Enquiries stay in our email - we don't copy them into any other system.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (such as _ga) to count visits and see how pages are used. Google processes this data on our behalf. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site itself uses no advertising or tracking cookies beyond this.
Where it's processed
We're based in India, so information you send us is handled by our team there. Our service providers, including Google, may process it in other countries. Wherever it's handled, we only use it for the purposes above.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we're discussing or delivering work with you, and delete those that don't lead to work within 24 months. Google Analytics keeps its detailed visit data for 2 months.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email info@offbeatsoftwaresolutions.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live - for example the UK, the EU or India - you may have further rights under your local data protection law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need them to respond. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable care with what you send us.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and isn't directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
